Out of Home veteran Michele Spadanuta joins Origin to accelerate DOOH strategy

With a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communications from SUNY Plattsburgh, Michele's passion for all things media can be traced even further back than her deep and enviable career suggests. 

A former marathoner, keen traveler and aunt to 9 nieces/nephews, Michele started her professional life as a national TV buyer for agencies including MindShare and Spark Foundry (formerly Mediavest). In 2008, Michele moved to A&E Television Networks where her experience grew to include Ad Sales Partnerships and everything it involved. After almost 5 years in the TV space and hungry to continue learning all there was to know about the media industry, Michele directed her focus to Out of Home where she spent almost ten years learning everything there was to know at Captivate and JCDecaux

It was during this time when she became truly passionate about media and the ways in which effective creative + intelligent planning could bring a brand's ambitions to life and engage audiences in unique ways.

Following a quick switch of gears to Amazon where she worked on the strategy of their 'Just Walk Out' initiative, Michele now joins Origin part time as Sales Advisor, DOOH. Speaking about the opportunity, Michele said "I am excited to be a part of Origin and work with the team. With the proven success they've already seen with their unique creative solutions in DOOH, I look forward to bringing them even further into the market, accelerating growth in the space and embracing their desire to 'enrage the status quo'."

Adding to this, Origin CEO Fred Godfrey said "For over three years we have seen steadily increasing demand for our creative capabilities in the DOOH space, designing fantastic experiences that are ideal for different environments. Until now though, we've never had the bandwidth or 'native' expertise to take it all the way. Michele changes all of that and for this reason I am grateful and excited to see where this side of the business goes!"
