Ad Tech All-Star Karthik Ethirajan Joins Origin As Head Of Product
With a professional career that started as a chip designer at Qualcomm, Karthik graduated from Cornell with MBA and quickly expanded his skillsets to include product management and partnership development.
His experience in ad tech is far reaching, with experience that spans ad networks and exchanges, SSP's, DSP's and DMP data providers in the value chain.
Along the way, he has dedicated himself to staying ahead of the curve in all major technological advances such as SDK development, RTB and header bidding executions, creative ad formats, multi-touch attribution, SEM and audience targeting, often closely working with engineering, operations and marketing teams to ensure swift and comprehensive outcomes.
Vitally, Karthik has made it his mission to bridge the gap between customer expectations, business group commitments and peak team performance.
When asked what excited him about joining Origin, Karthik said
"While most advertising and/or technology companies out there are satisfied with iterating on best practices adopted from the legacy digital advertising space, CTV's greatest challenges will never be solved that way.
Instead, they require a new way of thinking - and with Origin having proven time and again their relentless commitment to enraging the status quo, the prospect of immersing myself in a company that is more interested in tearing up the rulebook than it is in following tradition makes me believe that much of what they are doing today could one day become the benchmark for the entire CTV industry.
To be responsible for overseeing the product roadmap for Origin in such a way that helps them secure their place as leaders in CTV is going to be challenging but fun. Extremely fun."
Other passions of Karthik's include personal finance and feeding his entrepreneurial spirit which he learnt launching FinCrafters. He also likes to keep him mind and body sharp, which he achieves through HIIT, running, swimming and trying his hand at new pursuits such as mountain biking and outdoor rock climbing.
